Where to start?
The Potting Shed is honestly one of the loveliest places I’ve been, the decor is just so so cosy! Reminded me of being in the countryside and had such a relaxed vibe.
The staff were SO attentive, to amending my menu to show my options in relation to my own intolerances & double checking the desserts to be sure they weren’t missing anything… and then the food 😋 no complaints here, me & my tummy was very happy to say the least!
The Potting Shed is situated in Maidstone, tucked away in beautiful surroundings. They’ve recently added rooms which are adorable I was lucky enough to be shown around & its 100% made me want to go back & stay. Not only are the rooms so lovely but they also have a secret door for an adjoining room if you wanted to go with another couple, family, friends etc. How fab is that!
When we were seated for dinner the staff had already mentioned my intolerances, the waitress took the original menu from me & went to speak to the chef so he could circle all the dishes that were suitable/could be amended (this always makes me feel so much more comfortable & relaxed)
For starters I opted for the scallops (without the fennel) Tom went for the pork ribs..
& for main I went for the Seabass but asked for the sweet potato to be amended to chunky chips 🍟 I just couldn’t help myself 🙈 Tom opted for the fillet steak for main;
For dessert Tom had the sticky toffee pudding (which looked amazing) & I had some pecan ice-cream.
I don’t know about you but I absolutely LOVE a roast dinner, so obviously I asked about how good it was. The manager let me know they source all the produce locally, which I absolutely love. So of course I’ll be returning to try one of these (I’ll keep you updated). Oh & to top it off he let me know that if given notice of course a gravy suited around my intolerances could be made, yay!
So overall it’s definitely a yes from me & somewhere I’ll be returning to!
Thank you The Potting Shed for a lovely evening meal
